Good to know

What can I expect on a Yogadventures retreat?

Fun, connection, transformational yoga, celebration, nourishment, relaxation, release, uncovering self discovery layers, embracing the prana of nature, sacred living, rituals, living flow...

Do I need yoga experience?

No, we welcome all! Depending on if you chose the teacher training portion there may be some prerequisites and required reading and preparatory online courses. See Teacher Training.

When will I receive trip details?

You will receive a welcome letter from us approximately two weeks before the retreat, you will also receive a confirmation letter upon registration and a prep letter about a month before the event.

What is included?

Please refer to each retreat page for more details, but typically we include all lodging, breakfasts/brunch and most dinner meals. Each event varies, but we often include 1-2 excursions and a few other special treats. Yoga and meditation classes are included, however the teacher training yoga portion is additional.

Can I go on a Yogadventure by myself?

Yes! Many of our Yogadventurers come alone and leave with lifelong friends. If you’re traveling alone, a yoga retreat is the best way to meet new people with similar interests in a safe and healthy environment.

What type of food is offered?

We always enjoy delicious food on our retreats and strive to include organic, fresh ingredients, vegetarian/vegan options as often as possible.

What should I bring?

You will receive a more extensive list in your welcome letter, however some suggestions are yoga mat/props, sunscreen, comfortable clothes and shoes, layers for all weather, sunglasses, headlamp, book, journal, reusable water bottle, and an openness to flow!

How much free time do we have?

We offer a healthy balance between our group time and solo free exploratory time. Depending on the Yogadventure we will be in nature, we may be inside some of the time, we always have long breaks mid-day... staying open to the flow of all and needs of the group.

Can I arrive early and stay late?

Unfortunately we are unable to book any additional stays outside our retreat dates. Any additional stays need to be arranged directly with the venue.

Do I need extra cash? How much?

See each retreat page to see all that is included. If you choose to go on any optional excursions you will be responsible for the costs and the retreat center can help you arrange for your needs.

How do I get from the airport to the retreat center?

For most of our retreats you will be responsible for your own airport transfer unless stated otherwise.

Do I need to book my own flight?

Yes, you are responsible for your flights and travel arrangements and details.

When should I book?

We are big fans of “the sooner the better” - we also often have Early Bird Specials for those to register early - more often than not our retreats sell out!

Is travel insurance mandatory? How do I purchase it?

Yes! Travel insurance for all of our Yogadventure retreats is mandatory. We are unable to have your participation unless proof of travel insurance is sent to us. Purchase your travel insurance within a week of purchasing your plane flight. You can find many options at SquareMouth.com. Please email us your proof of travel insurance to retreats@yogadventures.com.

Is my reservation refundable?

A non-refundable deposit of $500 per person is required to hold your space for each event and is due at the time of registration. Full balance due must be paid 30 days prior to event start date, and if we do not receive it by this time we will automatically charge the card we have on file from your initial registration. Cancellations must be sent in email to retreats@yogadventures.com, please be sure to get a confirmation that your cancellation was received.

  • 60 days or more prior to the event: your entire payment will be refunded, less $500 non-refundable deposit plus a $50 administration fee.
  • 59 to 30 days prior: less your $500 non-refundable deposit, your remaining balance can be applied to a future retreat within 2 years.
  • 29 days or less prior to the event you are responsible for full payment and your card on file will be charged.
Do you have discounts available?

We offer a limited number of early-bird prices to make our trips as accessible as possible. We also offer occasional giveaways and specials on Shiva’s facebook page and in our PULSE newsletter.

What is the teacher training portion?

This is for those wishing to gain hours towards certification in our Samudra School of Living Yoga - you can find more details on our Teacher Training webpage.
