Uniting Yoga, Seva
and Collective Consciousness
What is the Global Mala
The Global Mala Project is a seed of a world-wide experiment in meditation in action, founded by Shiva Rea in 2007. It belongs to the Yoga Lokah, the global yoga community, and unites every continent, school and approach through collective practices based on the sacred cycle of 108 on the Fall Equinox.
The purpose of the Global Mala is to unite the global yoga community from every continent, school and approach to form a “mala around the earth” through collective practices based upon the sacred cycle of 108, on the Fall Equinox, as the yoga world’s offering to further the UN International Peace Day.
Offered annually in over 50 countries, the Global Mala unites the community from every continent to raise consciousness through practice, seva and collective intention.
