Catherine has been a passionate yoga traveller since her first yoga class, Yoga has led her deep into her body and soul and around the world. As a trained naturopath and somatic body worker, her passion is to teach her students about the healing qualities yoga offers for body, soul and mind. In her Yoga classes she uses her experiences of yoga, meditation, body work, somatics and breath therapy to open the mind into the intelligence and vibration of the body and the strength and fluidity of healthy emotions. So that her students can sense the glowing of the heart and a deep connection to Mother nature.

Her first profound inspiration was the Yoga of Vanda Scaravelli, where she learned to develop the asanas from the eternal intelligence of the body. She has had the great opportunity to work with Diane Long, one of Vanda’s few students. For many years Catherine has also been a student of the Swiss spiritual teacher Annette Kaiser, who has led her into meditation and the dynamic stillness, power and sensitivity of the heart mind.

Now after finishing the 500hr Prana Flow Yoga training, she is very grateful to Shiva and Twee for all the deep knowledge and body bliss they offered through the last years. Their yoga gave her the possibility, to live and teach the inner beauty, the strength and the sensitivity of the body. Shiva`s insightful revelations of the wisdom of embodiment and her lively roots in tantric yoga, changed her whole perception. Other inspirations for her Yoga classes came through Barbra Noh and Tara Judelle and the Anusara approach, with it`s elegant alignment principles and it´s knowledge of biomechanics.

In 2014 she founded the art of soma academy for somatic bodywork & moving arts, with her friend, the Body-Mind centering Teacher & Trainer Stefanie Hahnzog. In the art of soma academy they offer movement arts like BMC, Yoga, Contact improvisation, Qi Gong and Tai Ji for all students of life, who want to dive deeper into mind, body & soul. The somatic approach of deep respect and love for body and nature is their source and inspiration for all moving arts.

Catherine offers weekly classes, workshops, retreats and somatic yoga teacher trainings.
