Chae has been a student of yoga since 2001. In February of 2006, she took her first module with Shiva Rea in Prana Flow® Energetic Vinyasa and graduated in 2008. She continues her studies with Shiva Rea, Maria Garre and Twee Merrigan. Commited to learning, Chae pursued studies in Anusara Yoga (200 Hours Training) with Michelle Synnestvedt; Prenatal Yoga with Laurel Hicks and Yoga Therapeutics. Her continuing studies include Vinyasa with Shiva Rea; Alignment and Therapeutics with Michelle Synnestvedt; Sadhana (Spiritual) Practice studies with Shiva Rea and Michelle Synnestvedt; Ayurveda, Subtle Body and Divinity Studies with renowned teachers. Chae has been teaching yoga full time since 2006 and is dedicated to serving the community through yoga having lead classes that benefit families of cancer patients and the homeless in Philadelphia since 2007. She has also been leading global Yoga Retreats “by the sea” since 2009. The private, group and retreat practices offer individual challenges but are filled with laughter, ease and compassion. Background Chae and her father immigrated to Philadelphia from Seoul, Korea in 1975. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Philadelphia University in Fashion Design. For nearly 20 years, her clothing and accessories have been enjoyed by private clients and local boutiques. Prior to yoga, Chae was also part owner of a catering and specialty foods market for ten years. She continues to study and share yoga full time and is a householder.
