The founding Director NYC based Sonic Yoga, Lauren has been guiding students in Yoga for over 20 years. Armed with a Master’s Degree in Social Work and
wisdom passed on to her from many of the great masters, Lauren has been profoundly influenced by the devotion of Dharma Mittra, the bhakti of Jai Uttal,
Krishna Das, the unconditional love of Amma, the radiance of Sri Swamini Mayatitananda, the insight of Sally Kempton and by the brilliance and spontaneity
of Shiva Rea, whom Lauren assists on Prana Flow trainings internationally. To add on to all of that inspiration, Lauren is currently training in the
field of Kundalini Yoga Medicine with Guru Dharam Khalsa.
When not practicing or teaching internationally, Lauren spends her free time enjoying life with her family, communing with nature, riding waves and snow,
developing her inner creativity, dancing, chanting, gardening, cooking & playing harmonium in her home in the surfside village of Montauk, Long
Island.
In the process of writing her first book, Sacred Fertility Yoga, Lauren feels strongly about the feminine in Yoga and hopes to help women who are facing
the challenges of infertility. In her book, Lauren shares her personal triumphs, the wisdom of the teachers and healers that guided her on the path
to fertility, along with practical knowledge and skills.
Lauren is a devoted Yogini whose deep love of nature inspires her practice and her life. She humbly aspires to share the insights of her teachers both
internal and external, and to encourage her students to celebrate life, with an open heart and mind. It’s with this passion Lauren recently launched
her non-profit organization, The Fresh Foundation: creating profound communal change through intentional compassion & Karma Yoga (selfless service).
